Ashley Christ Performs with the Buffalo State Wind Ensemble at Kleinhans Music Hall

Ashley Christ, of Lake View, NY, performed as part of the Buffalo State Wind Ensemble at Kleinhans Music Hall in mid-November. Kleinhans is home to the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. The Wind Ensemble accompanied a percussion concerto featuring three of Western New York's lead percussionists.

Christ, a graduate of Frontier Central High School, played the string bass in the performance under the direction of Rick Fleming, associate professor of music. The senior music education major has been part of the Wind Ensemble for four years.

The concert at Kleinhans is part of Buffalo State's Year of the Arts--an eclectic schedule of visual and performing arts events. Buffalo State offers 166 undergraduate programs and 62 graduate programs, including the largest and most comprehensive visual arts program in SUNY.
