Brandon Machajewski Participates in Buffalo State Theater Production

2012 Mar 22

Brandon Machajewski of Depew, NY, played several roles, including Doc O'Connor, Conrad Miller, and Gil Engender in Buffalo State's production of Moises Kaufman's play The Laramie Project. Machajewski, a graduate of St. Mary's High School, is a senior communication major at Buffalo State.

The Laramie Project portrays the powerful reaction to the 1998 murder of University of Wyoming student Matthew Shepard that was denounced as a hate crime motivated by homophobia. The play ran for 10 performances in mid-February in the Burchfield Penney Art Center auditorium. The Laramie Project is the second production Machajewski has been involved with at Buffalo State.

The Laramie Project is part of Buffalo State's Year of the Arts--an eclectic schedule of visual and performing arts events on campus. Buffalo State offers 166 undergraduate programs and 62 graduate programs, including the largest and most comprehensive visual arts program in SUNY.
