Jeremy Melendez Performs in Theater Production at Buffalo State

2011 Nov 21

Jeremy Melendez of Harlem, N.Y., played the role of Mr. Bennet in Buffalo State's production of Githa Sowerby's The Stepmother. Melendez, a graduate of Harlem, N.Y., is a sophomore theater major at Buffalo State.

The Stepmother tells the story of a young stepmother who cares deeply for her new daughters but behind closed doors the picture is very different. This is the second production that Melendez has been involved with at Buffalo State. The play ran for 10 performances in mid-November at the college's Warren Enters Theatre.

The Stepmother is part of Buffalo State's Year of the Arts--an eclectic schedule of visual and performing arts events on campus. Buffalo State offers 166 undergraduate programs and 62 graduate programs, including the largest and most comprehensive visual arts program in SUNY.
