2011 Dec 16

Lydia Merlo of Clarence Center, NY, displayed her artwork in the Design Student Exhibition at Buffalo State's Czurles-Nelson Gallery in late November. Merlo, a graduate of Clarence High School, is a senior art education major at Buffalo State.

The select exhibition featured artwork by more than 60 students. The work spanned the design media, and included fibers, metals, graphic design, ceramics, and wood.

The Design Student Exhibition is part of Buffalo State's Year of the Arts-an eclectic schedule of visual and performing arts events on campus. Buffalo State offers 166 undergraduate programs and 62 graduate programs, including the largest and most comprehensive visual arts program in SUNY.
