Monica Araujo Welcomes New Students to Buffalo State

Monica Araujo of Bronx, NY served as a 2012 Summer Orientation Leader at Buffalo State, and helped to welcome more than 2,500 new students to campus. Araujo is a senior criminal justice major and a graduate of High School for Medical Science.

Araujo was one of 93 Orientation Leaders who helped first-year and transfer students move into the dorms and adjust to life on campus. The Orientation Leaders led campus tours and ice breaker activities, and introduced students to the college's resources both on and off campus. During orientation, new students also met with faculty and staff to register for classes and prepare for the academic year.
