Raquel deSouza Participates in Buffalo State Theater Production

2012 Apr 5

Raquel deSouza of New Rochelle, NY, played the roles of the housewife, cubicle girl, and Heather Lamb in Buffalo State's production of Working, a musical based on the book by Studs Terkel. deSouza, a graduate of New Rochelle High School, is a junior theater major. Working is the fourth production she has been involved with at Buffalo State.

Working tells the stories of dozens of everyday workers using original words from the men and women interviewed by Terkel. The musical ran for 10 performances in early March in Buffalo State's Donald Savage Theater.

Working is part of Buffalo State's Year of the Arts--an eclectic schedule of visual and performing arts events on campus. Buffalo State offers 166 undergraduate programs and 62 graduate programs, including the largest and most comprehensive visual arts program in SUNY.
