Samantha Crystal Puts Technical Theater Skills to Work in Play

Samantha Crystal of Massapequa, NY was on the technical crew that helped stage Buffalo State's recent production of the classic comedy, The Importance of Being Earnest, by Oscar Wilde. Crystal is majoring in theater.

The performance was held in the Warren Enters Theatre at the college in March 2015. Donn Youngstrom, associate professor in the Theater Department, directed the performance. It was produced by the student-run theater organization, Casting Hall.

Buffalo State's theater program offers concentrations in acting, directing/dramaturgy, design/technical theater, and general study as well as minors in theater and dance. Buffalo State, part of the State University of New York, is located in the museum district of Buffalo, New York. Its location provides many opportunities for hands-on learning.
