Shawn Muhammad is Founding Member of College Marketing Group

Shawn Muhammad of Buffalo, N.Y., helped to found the Buffalo State collegiate chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA). Muhammad, a graduate of Buffalo Academy of Science Charter School, is a sophomore business major at Buffalo State. In September, the chapter received national affiliation from the AMA, which is an international network of professionals that promote career and educational advancements in the field of marketing.

The AMA chapter at Buffalo State has already participated in Fall Community Service Day, and has implemented marketing strategies for campus organizations, including the Volunteer and Service Learning Center.

Buffalo State has more than 80 student organizations on campus in addition to the 166 undergraduate academic programs offered.
