Tieisha Thomas Participates in Buffalo State Theater Production

2012 Apr 5

Tieisha Thomas of Queens, NY, played the roles of Maggie Holmes, Enid Dubois, and Grace Clements in Buffalo State's production of Working, a musical based on the book by Studs Terkel. Thomas, a graduate of Fiorello H. LaGuardia Highschool of Music and Arts and the Performing Arts, is a junior music and theater major. Working is the first production she has been involved with at Buffalo State.

Working tells the stories of dozens of everyday workers using original words from the men and women interviewed by Terkel. The musical ran for 10 performances in early March in Buffalo State's Donald Savage Theater.

Working is part of Buffalo State's Year of the Arts--an eclectic schedule of visual and performing arts events on campus. Buffalo State offers 166 undergraduate programs and 62 graduate programs, including the largest and most comprehensive visual arts program in SUNY.
