The Theater Department and Casting Hall Productions presented "A Christmas Scarol," an audio comedy directed by theater major Edward Spaulding in December. The story was written by Don Zolidis and features student actors. When Tim can't think of a Christmas gift to get his high-maintenance girlfriend, he's visited by four terrifying spirits (actually five-they've been hiring) who whisk him away on a harrowing and hilarious journey into the past, present, future, and an alternate timeline. This wild and free-spirited adaptation of the holiday classic is a reminder of the true meaning of Christmas (getting awesome presents).

The Theater Department and Casting Hall Productions proudly presented "The Tragedy of Macbeth" in March. The play was directed by Jonathan Seinen, assistant professor of theater. The Shakespearean drama features Macbeth and Lady Macbeth. Driven by ambition, they begin a reign of terror and are haunted by witches, ghosts, and their own regret. A bloody tale from the mists of time brought forward to today, Macbeth shows that when the human removes itself from nature, the supernatural rises up to repair the balance.

Buffalo State College Art & Design students took part in the Fall 2020 Art & Design Student Exhibition. The exhibition featured student work from 100-and 200-level studio classes.

The Theater Department at Buffalo State College, in conjunction with the student-run production company Casting Hall Productions, virtually staged "Mother C," a contemporary adaptation of Mother Courage and her Children by Bertolt Brecht, written by Ansley Valentine and directed by associate professor of theater Jonathan Seinen. Based on Brecht's twentieth-century theatrical classic, Mother C reimagines a morality tale for our times.

The Theater Department at Buffalo State College, in conjunction with the student-run production company Casting Hall Productions, staged "The Lazy Chaperone." Hailed by New York Magazine as "the perfect Broadway musical," the production pokes fun at all the tropes that characterize the musical theater genre: offbeat characters, mistaken identities, and, of course, romance. Directed and choreographed by Carlos Jones, associate dean of the School of the Arts and Humanities; written by Bob Martin and Don McKellar; music and lyrics by Lisa Lambert and Greg Morrison.

The Buffalo State Dance Company performed five contemporary pieces that presented dance as a kinesthetic art, a way of knowing, thinking, communicating, translating, and creating. "Bodies Speak: Dance Is Universal Expression" was staged in April 2019.

The Theater Department at Buffalo State, in conjunction with the student-run production company Casting Hall Productions, staged "The Color Purple." The novel by Alice Walker won the 1983 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction. Casting Hall Productions is the first theater company in the region to take on a revival of the show that was originally made into a Tony Award-winning musical in 2006.

Charles "OyamO" Gordon's play, "I Am a Man" was presented as a staged reading by Buffalo State students in early April. The play focuses on the sanitation workers' strike in Memphis in 1968 and is presented as a celebration of the work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

The Theater Department at Buffalo State, in conjunction with the student-run production company Casting Hall Productions, staged "The Wolves." Written by Sarah DeLappe, "The Wolves" is a 2017 Pulitzer Prize finalist for Drama, and has garnered nominations for the Lucille Lortel, Outer Critics Circle and Drama League awards for best new play.

Buffalo State presented its first dance program choreographed and performed entirely by students. "Movers and Shakers: Dance as Activism" was staged in March 2018.

Students served as cast members, musicians, and crew members to present "Buck, Boogie, Bop & Beyond: The Black and Brown of Broadway Musicals."

More than 50 students sold their artistic creations in the 19th Annual Student Art Sale in December 2015. Shoppers browsed through handcrafted jewelry, pottery, scarves, paintings, photos, prints, and sculptures created by students studying in programs offered by Buffalo State's art education, design, and fine arts departments.

As part of their senior capstone project, students in Buffalo State's Television and Film Arts (TFA) program wrote, produced, and directed an original half-hour TV pilot. TFA, which admits only 15 students a year, prepares them to become screen or television writers, directors, and producers.
