Buffalo State's Volunteer and Service-Learning Center held its spring 2015 Alternative Spring Break in Niagara Falls, New York. This event gives students a chance to use their spring break to learn practical skills while helping others.

The Theater Department at Buffalo State, in conjunction with the student-run production company Casting Hall, staged "The Importance of Being Earnest" in March 2015.

Buffalo State's School of Education features an International Professional Development Schools Consortium. Elementary and art education majors traveled to Italy where they learned about the Italian education system and worked with students at San Giovanni Bosco School.

Students who took Digital Museum Collections at Buffalo State learned how to digitize historic photographs.
